Greenstar business and employees Aid Farepak Appeal
Local Kingswood based recycling-led waste management company Greenstar has raised £750 from donations by members of staff and the company itself.
Greenstar’s philosophy is one of assisting the environment and reducing the amount of waste from Landfill site to Recycling Schemes. Upon hearing of the Farepak news, the vast majority of Greenstar’s employees and senior management wanted to help and assist with the appeal in some way.
As well as the donations from the staff, Greenstar’s commitment to the cause was further demonstrated when the company agreed to match the employees donations as well as re-allocating its budget for customer christmas cards to the Farepak Appeal.
Keith Brown, Sales Director of Greenstar explains “This organisation has a number of employees based throughout the UK and our employees know someone whether they be friends or relatives affected by the situation. For this reason we decided as a business to not only match our employee’s generous donations, but to also re-allocate funds normally used for sending customer christmas cards.”
Brown continues “we have a considerable amount of Blue Chip orgnisations as customers and as soon as we explained our intensions to support this scheme we received their full backing”
Brown adds “the majority of our customers have hosted their own appeals and we are pleased that we are also assisting in what is a very worthwhile cause.”
